Summer is just around the corner and with it comes one of our favourite seasons at Everyone Out: the time when new people join our team. We discover their strengths, and help our tamariki thrive in nature. We’re gearing up for busy Summer Holiday Programmes in January and an energising start to Term 1 2026 at Nature School. So that means we’ll soon be opening up a wide range of employment opportunities across our three locations.
Whether you’re an experienced educator, someone with a bit of confidence and curiosity, or a rangatahi just beginning your journey, there’s a place for you here.
Holiday Programme Roles (Summer 2026 and Beyond)
We’ll be looking for experienced, intermediate, and junior team members to join our Holiday Programme crews. These roles are perfect for people who love being outdoors, enjoy the organised chaos of play, and want meaningful mahi that stretches beyond the summer. While the January programmes are our immediate focus, we’re especially keen to find people who want to stick with us into 2026 and grow alongside our teams and tamariki.
Assistant Kaiako at Nature School (2026)
Our Nature School teams at Paparangi, Island Bay, and Belmont will also be welcoming new assistant kaiako. These one-day-a-week roles are for people who are ready to pull on their raincoat, wonder alongside tamariki, support diverse learning needs, and help support rich experiences in nature. If you have a heart for outdoor learning and a head for child development, this might be your spot.
Our Rangatahi Programme — A Pathway to Real Experience
We’re also excited to keep growing our rangatahi volunteer programme for 14–15 year olds. This is a brilliant stepping stone for young people who want to dip their toes into outdoor education and team work. What’s in it for them?
Real experience working alongside adults and tamariki
Insight into the job application process
Support and mentoring from experienced kaiako
A small koha (vouchers or a first aid course)
A share of the kaiako chocolate stash
A solid referee for future roles
And once they turn 16 years old a the chance to move into a paid junior role with Everyone Out
Keen to Join Us?
If any of this sparks a bit of excitement, keep your eyes peeled. Full role descriptions and application details will be released soon. But if you are a keen bean get in touch now.
In the meantime, it’s a great moment to dust off your CV, think about the kind of mahi that lights you up, and picture yourself spending your days supporting tamariki in the bush.
Whether you’re looking for causal holiday work, a longer-term role, or a way to grow your skills as a rangatahi volunteer, we’d love to hear from people who believe in play, nature, and giving kids the freedom to explore.
Stay tuned! We can’t wait to welcome new faces into the Everyone Out whānau.
