Everyone Out is a not for profit social enterprise founded to help kiwi kids develop through play, learning and nature. We run events for families, holiday programmes and nature school.
Our nature school is an education programme where learning happens through self-directed learning in nature
Our holiday programmes provide a child-led play environment allowing them to follow their own interests
Our adventure treasure hunts get families out having fun, moving and working together in local natural areas
Everyone Out Limited was set up by Rachel Prier in 2016. Since then Rachel has run events at the Wellington Botanic Garden, Otari-Wilton’s Bush and Mt Victoria to encourage tamariki and their whānau to get out and enjoy the amazing green spaces Wellington has to offer. In October 2018 the first Everyone Out Holiday Programme was run in Crofton Downs.
The nature play holiday programme was very successful, with a lot of positive feedback from both parents and tamariki. Now Rachel has partnered with Daphne Pilaar, an experienced primary school teacher and nature play expert, to start Everyone Out Nature Schools in Wellington.
“Play, particularly free, unstructured and outdoors is essential for healthy brain and socioemotional development and in the early years of life is far more important than direct instruction"
