Everyone Out locations are carefully selected to meet the needs of our programmes and our community. Although we are very fortunate to have many great locations the Wellington region that could be suitable out nature based programmes. Huntleigh GirlGuiding Centre
When running a holiday programme or Nature School have the exclusive use of Huntleigh GirlGuiding centre in Crofton Downs. This Everyone Out location consists of a large hall surrounded by bush, two large lawn areas and has access to a Korimako Stream. Neighbouring the centre is Huntleigh Park Reserve which is an impressive area of indigenous forest that we explore regularly.
Access and Parking
Please note that access to the GirlGuiding Centre is via a single laned shared driveway off Silverstream road, Crofton Downs, at number 46/48. If possible please park on the road and walk approximately 100m down to Centre. If you need to drive down the drive please be careful and drive slowly. There are some angled parks at the bottom of the drive you can park in. Please don't park in front of the Centre or anyone's private access.
Island Bay Scout Hall
This Everyone Out location has a large grass area surrounded by mature pine trees and bush. Neighbouring the hall is the South Coast Kids Bike track and the Berhampore Golf Links.
The hall's location means that it's perfect for excursions to the south coast. It's less than 2km or 25 minutes walk to Island Bay marine reserve and hall is only a stone's throw from a thriving community orchard.
Access and Transport
The Hall on Dover street, opposite No. 7 Dover street, and accessed via a large gravel parking and turning area. The location is also on the No. 1 Bus route with a stop only a few meters away from the hall.
